Successor fund managers
Fund II, Fund III, Fund IV · institutional-grade ops · one vendor
Successor funds get scrutinised. LPs benchmark your operations against the big shops. Caproom delivers institutional-grade fund administration, AIFMD reporting and investor experience on one stack, at a fraction of the cost of the incumbent providers.
What changes from Fund I to Fund II
- LPs run real ODD: they want to see your GL, your depositary, your AIFMD reporting and your investor portal.
- Fund I scaled on Excel; Fund II breaks Excel and you start budgeting for a 3-vendor stack (admin, AIFM, portal).
- Successor funds carry forward complexity: clawbacks from Fund I, cross-fund allocations, side letter MFNs.
How Caproom takes you to the next level
One stack, three jobs
Replaces fund admin + AIFM-reporting tool + investor portal with one platform, same data, one contact.
Multi-fund from day one
Fund I, II and III live side by side with cross-fund allocations and consolidated GP economics.
Built for ODD
Role-based access, a full audit trail per mutation, tenant-isolated data and seven-year retention, the things LP ODD teams check first.
Carry & clawback across vintages
GP carry tracked across funds with clawback liability surfaced at fund and GP level.
Successor funds, frequently asked questions
Can Fund I be migrated onto Caproom?
Yes. Commitments, historical calls, distributions and capital accounts are imported and reconciled so the historical numbers tie out before Fund II goes live. We run that migration with you.
Can several funds run alongside each other?
Yes. Fund I, II and III live in the same environment with separate ledgers, cross-fund allocations and consolidated GP economics.
How is clawback tracked across vintages?
Carry is calculated per fund and aggregated at GP level, keeping the clawback liability visible as soon as a later fund falls behind its hurdle.
Do side letters and MFN carry over from Fund I?
Side letters are recorded as deviations from the fund terms with MFN tracking, so a concession granted in an earlier fund stays visible while you negotiate the next one.
